Can't wait for the next show

Hey all

Just saw this youtube video of an upcoming Avail documentry figured i should post it with a flyer. its only half a one, but i love seeing avail so much i wanted to share it anyway. If the other half was there i am pretty sure it would show it was from a PWAC show in long island. Not sure if any band every really played like long islands own Warped Weeble Woobles. I do have a video of this show, i guess i should post it some time down the road. I never see Avail play FCA much anymore, but when they played it that day it was intense.

goodbye to you

First Warped Tour Ever…..!!!!!!

Now this flyer has tons a memories for me. The first off the top of my head was when walking around during the show I thought it was funny to see people like Even Seinfeld of Biohazard all tatted up pushing a little kid in a stroller around.
This was a concert line up of the who’s who’s of alternative music of that time. I do regret not paying closer attention to sublime when they were on stage. Was one of the few times I saw Orange 9mm live and loved every minute of it. Quicksand closed out the day with a powerful set and everyday since they broke up I wish I could see them again and again. I was lucky enough to have a press pass at the time and was able to get amazing photos which I will try to post down the road.
The day after Warped Tour I remember being at a family function and hearing my Grandfather talk about driving by the Coliseum and how the noise was vibrating his car windows. I was hoping it was during Civ or Sick of it All. I am pretty sure that they moved warped tour to Randall’s Island afterwards because asphalt and stage diving equal lawsuits. Now everyone breaths in dust all day and roasts in the sun. It became full circle for me when I brought my younger cousins to warped tour on the tenth anniversary of the tour without knowing it till I got there. When thinking about all the warped tours you get a good sense of how time passes, but great memories still seem to linger

End transmission

New Year will bring new flyers

Hey all

Happy belated new year, just posting quickly today plan on writing up some long stories real soon.

below is a flyer for a show i went to, but the memory is a bit fuzzy. I know my buddy nick went with me to this dark basement in and old church up town. Thought we may have gone to meet a friend can't recall. I remember Sweet Diesel being really cool as well shades apart and who wouldn't think Oh my Grod is and interesting name.

Santa Brought you another flyer

Well here is another

This flyer holds a bunch of memories. I was friendly with the guy who planned the show, who also happened to be in Chimi-Changa. I recall he was able to do a couple of Fit shows, but i think this was the only one i went to. Definitely one of the longest shows I ever attended in NY. Deadguy was huge at this time and they where damn amazing. They could only be described as pure anger from power tools in hell. Its a bit washed out, but very odd that the times are listed. I can remember buying some hard to find cds from some merch guy, one was a citizen fish cd the other may have been a Bruce lee band record. Keep in mind buying music at this time was still cool and the Internet was believed to be a fad by corporate America. In closing i had a lot of fun at this show and its one of the more vivid memories is still hold on to.

Merry X-mas and happy holiday's

Something old after awhile

howdy campers

So i pulled down a ton of new flyers to scan, found some real gold nuggets. Today is a play bill from the original Fillmore East in NYC, its from a Santana concert that my father went to. Found it weird that suddenly Irving plaza has renamed it self after the Fillmore.

Just got to post!

Hey all

Here is a flyer from a Cbgb's show. To damn bad they ripped that place down, way to much history lost. Curious how commercial this new Cbgb's will be in vegas. I am sure it will be very over the top and nothing like the old one. Had the honor of seeing the mighty Warzone open for Earth Crisis there once. It was a complete nut house and one of the most active crowds i had the pleasure of being in. Raybeez the lead singer jumped into the crowd for a sing along and walked thru with a mountain of kids on top of him. I have seen very few who can command a crowd like he did.

Salaam
