Now this flyer has tons a memories for me. The first off the top of my head was when walking around during the show I thought it was funny to see people like Even Seinfeld of Biohazard all tatted up pushing a little kid in a stroller around.
This was a concert line up of the who’s who’s of alternative music of that time. I do regret not paying closer attention to sublime when they were on stage. Was one of the few times I saw Orange 9mm live and loved every minute of it. Quicksand closed out the day with a powerful set and everyday since they broke up I wish I could see them again and again. I was lucky enough to have a press pass at the time and was able to get amazing photos which I will try to post down the road.
The day after Warped Tour I remember being at a family function and hearing my Grandfather talk about driving by the Coliseum and how the noise was vibrating his car windows. I was hoping it was during Civ or Sick of it All. I am pretty sure that they moved warped tour to Randall’s Island afterwards because asphalt and stage diving equal lawsuits. Now everyone breaths in dust all day and roasts in the sun. It became full circle for me when I brought my younger cousins to warped tour on the tenth anniversary of the tour without knowing it till I got there. When thinking about all the warped tours you get a good sense of how time passes, but great memories still seem to linger
