The Portland trip

Went to Portland to visit a friend I went to shows all the time with in NYC.

Ended up at a murder by death show and got introduced to an opening band called the builders and the butchers. Nothing better than seeing a band on they're home turf. They really have an interesting dark folkie sound and know how to get a crowd going.

Good times

California dreamin'

So here are some flyers left over from my days working in California this year. I Got to see Joe Cape of Lagwagon, drag the river and Chris Shiflet of foo fighters. It was a solid show Chris played a lot of covers one was a Johnny Cash tune. Drag the river where new to me, but very entertaining. Joey cape was right a home in Slo. The whole night the crowd was shouting requests. I never thought I would see lagwagon - violins played on a mandlin. Also they ended with a cover of Nofx's " linoleum ".

In Santa Barbara I saw far first strech of a reunion tour. The show was great and they are super solid live. Johan is still a very powerful singer who makes the crowd feel apart of every song played.

Good day sir
