Breathe in, Exhale

Howdy Ho

So i been slacking again, so i figured i would jump on and post a flyer.

Below is a flyer to a neat concert I wish attended. Jimmy Eat world, At the Drive In, and Hot Rod Circuit would of been a killer line up. Don't think i have ever seen Jim Eat World, but At the drive in and Hot Rod Circuit's music was a breath of fresh air back then.

Seeing At the Drive In open live at Tramps in NYC was one of those moments where you hear a sound and find your self rushing to the merch booth once they wrap they're set. If you have never heard the Album " In/casino/out " I highly recommend it.

I recently move out to the west coast and found myself re-discovering Hod Rod Circuit's "If I Knew Now What I Knew Then ". Its a solid listen through and a great sing-a-long in traffic album.

all for now

Living in the meantime

Howdy

Just a quick post today of an old Coney Island High monthly flyer. It features a Vandals / Strung Out show, Spacehog, and a nice NYHC benefit. Spacehog recently seems to popping up again on the radio. the song from the early 90's "in the meantime" also made it on to Guitar Hero 5 and by the way is really fun to sing. As for NYHC show, i need to find my sheer terror record and warzone was amazing live, thank i saw them once at Cbgb's.

Its been a long time

Well if your out there i am sorry for slacking on posting. I am gonna try to post at least once a month if not more. Back in march i had someone contact me about some ska releated stuff, so i figured i would post some related flyers.

Skavoovie and the Epitones is one of the best ska bands i have ever seen live. They played a 10 minute version of they're batman theme cover. During which all 10 members in the band did a solo which was a sight to see.

enjoy

All the small Flyers

Its been awhile, but works been keeping me busy. So here is a post showing 2 of the small card flyers that get passed out at shows or lay about in local music shops. I really dig the sister machine gun art on the first one.

Sad to see them go

So most of the clubs and venues from the 90's are gone. One of which is Coney Island High on the northern side of St Marks between 3rd and 2nd ave (NYC). Saw numerous shows there and most of which where awesome. The flyer below is one of which they would issue about every month. This one has some super cool shows from way back, many of which i regret not attending.
Coney's has now become i think a thai restaurant and condos. Darn shame since it was always a loud cramp spaced filled to the brim with crazy fans for whatever show of the day. I recall seeing Liftime for the first time, opening for a band called Plow United. Also an amazing record release party for the Bouncing Souls's Maniacal Laughter. The last one off the top of my head was a two day Nofx show with the Lunachicks and Snuff. One of my grander nights out at a club with all my friends from high school. Please send in any other Coney Island High flyers like this one if you happen to have them.

bye bye
